About Register-Ready
Register-Ready helps landlords and letting agents in England get ready for the new landlord register, the “Register your rental property” service created by the Renters’ Rights Act 2025, and keep their entries up to date.
Why we built it
We are landlords ourselves. Looking at what the register asks for, the hard part is not the GOV.UK form. It is finding about twenty details per property spread across tenancy agreements, gas safety records, electrical reports, EPCs and licences, and noticing what is missing or out of date before you start. Then, because anything that changes must be updated within 28 days, doing it again every time a certificate is renewed.
We already use software that reads these documents for our own properties. Register-Ready turns that into a service for other landlords.
What we do
- Read the documents you send us and pull out what the register needs.
- Check them: dates, expiry, missing items, mismatches between documents.
- Give you a ready-to-copy sheet for each property, plus a list of gaps.
- Watch for expiry dates and remind you when the register needs updating.
What we don’t do
- We don’t register you. The law requires the landlord to start every registration, and you stay in control of it.
- We don’t collect the government fee.
- We don’t give legal advice. Our guides are general information.
Independence
Register-Ready is an independent service. It is not affiliated with GOV.UK or the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Landlords remain responsible for their own registration. You can always register directly on GOV.UK without us.
How we keep our information accurate
Every factual page shows the date it was last checked against GOV.UK guidance and the draft regulations, and links to its sources. We check the GOV.UK guidance weekly. When it changes, we update our pages and record the change. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.
