Frequently asked questions
How does the checker find my region?
It looks up the postcode with postcodes.io, a free public postcode service that uses Office for National Statistics data, and matches the region to the GOV.UK rollout table. We don’t store the postcodes you enter.
What if my property is in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland?
This register only covers England. The checker will tell you, and point you to the scheme for that country.
Can I register before my region opens?
Yes. GOV.UK says you can register properties before their region’s start date, from 15 December 2026, as long as none are registered after their region’s end date.
What if I have properties in several regions?
Each property’s deadline depends on where it is. You can register them all at once, early, and they will share one renewal date.
